The story behind the Charity Links – 2021 Ride Uganda Calendar:
The Covid pandemic frustrated the charity’s fundraising efforts for 2020 until team member Tony Bullied saw the potential of using fellow rider’s paintings to celebrate the challenge of 2019, promote the coming challenge of 2021 and raise valuable funds for our work.

Sandi told us:
“I always enjoyed art but after school it was not until 2006 that I had time to spend painting. It began when my Mother, aged 80, came to live with us and once a week we painted together. After her death in 2011 I continued to paint, joining a couple of classes, exhibiting and selling paintings locally. This was mostly watercolour but recently I have been enjoying acrylics. Whatever the medium I always find myself drawn towards landscapes and animals. A love of Africa is obvious and the pandemic lockdowns provided the time and Charity Links the motivation to create. I now plan to exhibit a collection of pictures when it is safe to do so. I have always been quite shy about showing and selling my pictures but am now really excited about it. The proceeds of all RtR pictures sold will, be donated to Charity Links.”
